Vafes village

Apokoronas is a historic and beautiful area of Crete with a landscape of wild mountains and fertile valleys. It was a place where emperors and lords of Byzantine Empire could reside and enjoy wealth and beauty.

Vafes is one of the villages of Apokoronas (32km far from Chania, 28km far from Rethymno and 110km far from Heraklion). It's the only village of the prefecture of Chania which has been declared a historic preservable place because of history and traditional architecture.

The area has traditional cafes and taverns with delicious Cretan plates and industries with local products (wine, cheese etc.).

How to get to Villa Irini

A car or a motorcycle are needed to reach our property. Free parking space is available on the main road of the village, 50m away from the villa.
